Plumbing dispatch software that gets the right plumber to the job.
Book a job, let auto-assign pick a plumber by turn, workload or distance, and send everything they need to their phone. The customer hears from you at every step.
How plumbing dispatch works in Taskr
- 1
Book the job or log the callout
Log an emergency callout in under 30 seconds, mark it urgent and it jumps to the front of the board. Routine jobs go on the same board, so the office sees the whole day in one place.
- 2
Auto-assign picks the plumber
Set each crew to take turns, give the job to whoever has the fewest open jobs, or send it to the member closest to the site: nearest start point, inside their territory, or who visited last. Auto-assign only picks a plumber who holds the licence the job needs.
- 3
The job lands on their phone
The plumber gets a push notification with the job details, site address, access instructions and safety requirements, and the job works offline once it's on the phone.
- 4
The customer hears from you
Booking confirmations, reminders, on-my-way messages, reschedules, cancellations and completion notices go out by SMS or email, so nobody rings the office asking where the plumber is.
- 5
The office watches it happen
Job status updates arrive on the board as the plumber works, so the office can see what's running late and move the next job without a phone call.
Dispatch and more
Everything included with Taskr for Plumbing
Emergency Callout Management
Log an emergency callout in under 30 seconds and it jumps to the front of the board. Auto-dispatch suggests the plumber booked closest to the job, with site access codes and isolation points on their phone. Track response times against your SLAs, bill overtime at the customer's after-hours rate, and text the customer when the plumber is on the way.
Photo Documentation
Before-and-after photo capture built into the job in the app. Photos are timestamped and stored against the job record permanently, and the app records where the plumber was when they arrived on site and when they completed the job. Use them for warranty claims, insurance documentation, customer dispute resolution, and building a visual portfolio of completed work.
Recurring Maintenance
Configure maintenance contracts with the interval each service needs: annual testing of testable backflow prevention devices (with results sent to the water authority or council), six-monthly hot water relief valve checks, or annual strata property inspections. Taskr automatically generates tasks at each interval, assigns them to the designated plumber, and notifies the customer. Track completion rates per contract and flag overdue services before they become complaints.

Quote to Invoice
Build itemised quotes on-site using your saved rates for labour, materials, and callout fees. When the customer approves, convert to a live job with one tap. On completion, the quote becomes an invoice automatically, including any variations logged during the work. Online payment links mean most customers pay the same day the job is finished.
Job Costing
Track every cost component per job: materials purchased, labour hours logged, travel time, and subcontractor charges. Compare actual costs against your original quote in real time so you know your margin before the plumber leaves the site. Identify which job types are most profitable and which ones consistently blow the budget.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Taskr for Plumbing
What is the best dispatch software for plumbers in Australia?
Look for one board for every job, automatic assignment that respects licences, a phone app that works offline, and SMS updates to the customer. Taskr does all four for Australian plumbing businesses, at $100 per seat / month, ex GST, with a 14-day free trial. ServiceM8, Fergus, AroFlo and simPRO are the other common choices; compare them on our comparison pages.
How does Taskr decide which plumber gets a job?
Each crew picks a rule: take turns, fewest open jobs, or closest to the site. You can always drag the job to someone else on the board. If you pick someone who doesn't hold the licence the job needs, Taskr warns you.
Does the customer get an on-my-way text?
Yes. Turn on the on-my-way message in Settings and choose SMS, email or both. Confirmations, reminders, reschedules, cancellations and completion notices work the same way.
Can after-hours callouts be billed at a different rate?
Yes. Set an after-hours rate for each customer or contract. Time your plumbers log as overtime is invoiced at that rate.
